Manchester City will have the chance to move above Arsenal in the Premier League table when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.
City closed the gap on the Gunners after securing a 4-1 victory over the London outfit on Wednesday night, with Kevin De Bruyne (2), John Stones and Erling Haaland all on target for the Blues. The victory saw Pep Guardiola’s side move within two points of the Gunners with two games in hand.
With Mikel Arteta’s men not playing until they face Chelsea on Tuesday night, the Blues – who recently progressed to the FA Cup final and Champions League semi-finals – can leapfrog their title rivals in the top-flight table for at least 48 hours.

Here are the pundits’ predictions for City’s clash with Fulham:
Chris Sutton (BBC)
“I think the general consensus is that the Premier League title race is done – and Manchester City are going to win it for the fifth time in six seasons. City were just brilliant against Arsenal on Wednesday, they just monstered the leaders really – they totally overpowered them. The only real doubt I have now is whether City can get the balance right when they make changes.
“That will be most important in the league games around their Champions League semi-final games against Real Madrid on 9 and 17 May, but they will probably rotate here too. I wrongly accused Fulham of being on the beach when they were on a dreadful run of form a few weeks ago and I think they will score on Sunday – I just think City will score three.
“They are going to slip up at some point, just because of their schedule – but not this time.”
Sutton’s prediction: Fulham 1-3 Man City
Paul Merson (Sportskeeda)
“The way Man City were playing against Arsenal makes me wonder who could beat them? They are head and shoulders above the rest of the competition. City are flying and it’s as good as it gets. They are set to become league leaders and they look likely to win every game from this point on.
“Arsenal never turned up against City in the potential title decided and they got blown away. Pep Guardiola has taken City to another level and how they just brushed aside a very good football team in a crunch encounter was simply incredible.
“If Manchester City don’t get complacent, they will cruise to another comfortable victory here. Fulham play good football but I don’t see them putting one over on Manchester City.”
Merson’s prediction: Fulham 1-3 Man City
Mark Lawrenson (Paddy Power)
“Fulham will give Manchester City a good game. The thing about playing at Craven Cottage is that you do feel hemmed in but, the way that Man City are at the moment, they’re just outstanding.”
Lawrenson’s prediction: Fulham 0-2 Man City
