Tennessee baseball’s pursuit of another trip to the College World Series begins against Charlotte.
The No. 2 seed Vols face (38-19) No. 3 Charlotte (34-26) on Friday (6 p.m. ET, ESPNU) in the Clemson Regional. No. 1 Clemson (43-17) and No. 4 Lipscomb (36-24) are on the opposite side of the NCAA regional bracket.
The Vols are starting Andrew Lindsey, who pitched at Charlotte in the 2021 season.
Tennessee reached the College World Series in 2021 for the first time since 2005. UT fell a game shy of back-to-back trips to Omaha when it lost in the Knoxville Super Regional against Notre Dame in the 2022 season.
