Taraji P. Henson is to return as host for the 2022 BET Awards.
The Empire starlet will serve as the event’s host for the 2nd successive year at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
“I am honored to return as the host of the BET Awards and share the phase with so lotsof effective and respected artists; you can even state it is the ’empire’ of Black quality,” she stated in a declaration. “I can’t wait to commemorate Black music, homeentertainment, and culture with our audiences on what will be one extraordinary night.”
The Oscar-nominated starlet is the 4th host or hosting group to front the program for 2 years in a row, with her following in the steps of Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, Mo’Nique, and Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Henson is the personification of Black quality, and we are firedup to worktogether with the remarkable multi-talented phase and screen starlet to host the supreme event of Black culture onceagain this year,” included Connie Orlando, executive vice president of specials, music programs and music method at BET.
Taraji has won 6 BET Awards for Best Actress throughout her profession thanks to movies such as Hustle & Flow and Hidden Figures and her TELEVISION series Empire.
The 2022 Bet Awards, which commemorate Black quality in music, acting, sports and other fields of homeentertainment, will take location on 26 June.
