Sex Pistols guitarplayer Steve Jones has informed frontman John Lydon to “grow up” in the wake of his continuous criticism of drama series Pistol.
Directed by Danny Boyle, the six-part series based on Jones’s narrative charts the increase and fall of the Pistols as well as the larger London punk scene in the 1970s.

Lydon, who is played on screen by Anson Boon, was not included in the making of the series and even released an notsuccessful legal obstacle to avoid the music of the Sex Pistols from appearing in the program.
“I’m 66 and I ain’t got time for all that crap any more. You’ve simply got to grow up and relocation on,” Jones informed The Sun of Lydon’s response.

He included: “The program is about me. It ain’t about John, even however he is undoubtedly a huge part of it.”
Jones stated that Lydon is “portrayed fantastic” by Boon in the program and that he and the rest of the band would not have had any issue if things tookplace the other method around.

Lydon has justrecently mentioned that he will watch Pistol, primarily to fact-check it havingactually dismissed the trailer as a “middle class dream” variation of the Pistols’ story.
Jones acknowledged Lydon’s value to the band and confessed that his arrival on the scene — illustrated in the 2nd episode of Pistol — was a game-changer.
“He had the lyrics, the look, the mindset. He’s a sharp feline and he was actually on the ball, really watchful,” stated Jones.
