Skepta & R2R Moe Put A Sexy Drill Spin On A Grime Classic With ‘Miss Independent’

As New York’s sexy drill sound continues to dominate the summer, Skepta teams up with Harlem rapper R2R Moe to give it a London twist.

Producer PoWR Travel flips Rebound X’s grime classic ‘Rhythm & Gash’ for the pair’s collaborative single ‘Miss Independent’, borrowing the iconic vocal sample and lacing it into the perfect soundtrack for a hot summer night in the city.

For its accompanying directed by Launch Team, R2R Moe brought his crew over to London to link up with Boy Better Know (and extended family) to enjoy the weather and take an open-top bus tour. ‘Miss Independent’ brings a grime nod to sexy drill that continues Skepta’s reputation for uniting the UK underground with global diasporic sounds.
