Sasha Carassi is marking his return with ‘Memoria’ EP, released via Truesoul.
Exploring a broad spectrum of house and techno productions, the Italian DJ, producer and composer pieces together a pulsing, dynamic project. Proving his strengths across the title track, Carassi leans into a more eclectic, heavy-weight sound, incorporating drum synths, groove and industrial stylings. Percussive and resonant, the seasoned selector makes his next steps with an inquisitive and daring approach, sure to transcend dancefloors on a global scale.
Spanning over two decades, Carassi’s musical journey has been one of twists and turns. Gaining momentum through his debut album in 2002, the artist has continuously broadened his sound and draws inspiration from the likes of Burial, Daft Punk, David Bowie and Aphex Twin. Last year saw the artist play to crowds across US, Canada, Mexico and Ibiza, whilst recently launching his own label titled ILINX.
Released through Adam Beyer’s imprint, ‘Memoria’ steps into a new dimension of Carassi’s artistry. Speaking on the project, the artist shares: “I share an association with Adam Beyer that goes back to 2010, when I debuted on Drumcode Records with my HypercomboEP.” He continues, “My return to Beyer’s labels mark a full circle moment for me, as I’ve always had a foot in both Techno and House.”
Tune in now.
