England’s Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has stated the BBC has an issue with “groupthink” and requires conserving from itself.
Ms Dorries, who froze the BBC licence charge in January, compared the broadcaster to a “polar bear on a diminishing ice cap”.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, she stated: “There is an issue with groupthink within the BBC, and I do not believe those individuals believe they are left or they are.
” I believe they simply think they are dead-on about whatever. And they have a world view and a view of the UK, which is, I believe, often really incorrect.
” Our obligation is to conserve the BBC from itself, due to the fact that it is that polar bear on a diminishing ice cap.”
She included she believed the BBC’s financing design would not exist “into the future” no matter her actions due to the fact that “it will strike the buffers as more individuals decline to pay the licence charge”.
Ms Dorries likewise talked about her commitment to the Prime Minister amidst stress within the Tory celebration in the wake of Partygate.
She stated: “I’m old-school politics. The Prime Minister provided me my task as a secretary of state, and for that I owe him my outright undying commitment.”
