Melbourne’s Romero will launch launching album ‘Turn It On!’ on April 8th.
The band have actually launched a string of songs, displaying a clear enthusiasm for tune and crunching guitars, a brand-new kind of power pop, if you will.
Out on April 8th, ‘Turn It On’! functions 11 tracks, and boasts previous songs ‘Honey’, ‘Troublemaker’, and ‘Neapolitan’.
The title track is the most recent single, a punchy return with a remarkable chorus and a Triana Hernandez-directed video that discovers vocalist Alanna Oliver carrying her inner Debbie Harry.
She remarks: “I was seeing a Debbie Harry [Blondie] documentary and among the quotes was ‘she simply gets on phase and she turns it on.’ As quickly as I heard this I paused it and began composing. The lyrics streamed easily. It was such an easy concept to transport that inner power. When I sing this tune I am now a lady who understands what she desires and how to get it.”
