Goff for MVP talk is done
Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora
There were idiots out there trying to pretend that Jared Goff belonged in a conversation with Lamar Jackson for MVP. Damn fools.
Goff ultimately completed 15-of-30 passes for 240 yards with two touchdowns and five total interceptions.
In the end, Goff’s interceptions didn’t derail the Lions’ hopes, as they rallied with 19 unanswered points to secure a 26-23 comeback victory over the Texans, thanks to kicker Jake Bates.
Goff had been on fire over the past three games, completing 88.0 percent of his passes against the Minnesota Vikings, 80 percent against the Tennessee Titans, and 81.8 percent against the Green Bay Packers.
His last interception had come in a 20-13 Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
The Lions will play the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday at home.
