Lifted from new album ‘A Fine African Man’.
30 · 07 · 2025
London rapper Knucks returns with new single ‘Cut Knuckles’, the first taste of his forthcoming album ‘A Fine African Man’.
The meditative track imbued with the warmth of Knucks’ languid delivery memorializes the rapper’s formative years in Nigeria. The single is a touching and soulful introduction into the world of ‘A Fine African Man’, a project that explores what it means to straddle two cultures as a first-gen Brit.
The release follows Knucks’ ‘Can’t Decide’ collaborative EP with K-Trap released last year, and his acclaimed MOBO-winning 2022 LP ‘Alpha Place’ which established him as a singular voice in the UK rap realm.
The video for ‘Cut Knuckles’ was shot in Lagos and co-directed by Director K (Wizkid, Burna Boy), and serves as a nod to Knucks’ dual heritage and the cultural dissonance underscoring Knucks’ new era.
