After a run of intense indie-folk bangers, Joe Ramsey has lastly taken the plunge and launched his launching EP. With a breaking choice of 5 brilliant, sunshine-y tracks, ‘Making Notes’ serves as the best summary of precisely what makes Joe Ramsey such a charmer.

The collection is a split of oldies, and some sparklingly brand-new goldies. Familiar songs ‘Another Day’ and ‘Caught In’ open the EP with their warm, epic energy. When it comes to the morerecent tracks, ‘Two Sides’ and ‘Stride’ utilizes that verysame burst of raucous, festival-worthy indie vigour we understand and love, while ‘Take It From Me’ reveals a various side to Ramsey. Slower and far more reflective this track tips at a more fullygrown side to the vocalist.

The EP’s morerecent tracks are extremely affected by the pandemic, Ramsey remarks. “I felt the past 18 months or so has altered my life for the muchbetter, which I understand is a strange thing to state. I composed all of these tunes in lockdown [and it allowed me to see] how I essentially discover the basic things in life the most satisfying and fulfilling.”

Ramsey’s imagination grew in lockdown, due to the quantity of time simply to focus on production. This favorable, innovative experience is precisely why the release is layered in a brilliant shine – intending to lookfor out the pleasure in times that felt otherwise dark and helpless. “The EP is a problem of positivity and hope, constantly finding that light at the end of what appeared like a perpetual tunnel for most individuals.”

Tune in now.
