But on one such trip Helen, who has split from her kids’ father Scott Sinclair, experienced every parent’s nightmare when her son slipped and broke a bone.
She was forced to call an ambulance to Alton Towers where she had taken her three kids Delilah, five, Matilda, four, and Charlie, one, who was then rushed to hospital.
The star, who played Rosie Webster on Corrie, thanked staff at the hospital in Stoke for patching him up, and revealed she almost cancelled her planned day trip to Paris.
Helen, 32, explained the trip was meant to be for her and her eldest daughter Matilda.
“I promised Matilda for like months, she’s always wanted to go to Paris. She’s wanted to go forever. To the city centre. She’s gone to Disney a few times” Helen said.
“So I was like, gosh I didn’t want to let her down, she was crying in the morning. So to cut a long story short it was just going to be a me and Matilda trip.
“So Delilah is obsessed with Scot’s mum she loves her, and so she’s having an amazing time. I felt guilty, it was supposed to be a big girl girl treat for Matilda because Delilah gets a lot of attention.
“So yeah, to cut a long story short I’m on my way to Paris. And I’ve got Matilda, and I’ve got Charlie with me, because I can’t leave him, and I’ve got my friend with me too.”
