“The track’s a little various than it was this earlymorning,” Johnson told NBC of his near-collision. “The exactsame technique wasn’t going to work. We definitely were attempting for it. That’s the most effort in the setup of the automobile and trim settings that we’ve had. Just dedicated to run one flat, and it simply was so light on top of the track. I was large and attempting to keep it off the fence at that point.”

“Always incomplete company here,” included Dixon, whose only win at the Indianapolis 500 came in2008 “I love this location. It absolutely can be terrible at some times, however I feel extremely fortunate and really fortunate to be able to drive here, and clearly with a group like this, it makes it so sweet.
The 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 will take location on Sunday, May 29, at 11 a.m. ET on NBC. For the 2nd straight year, Dixon will hold the pole, the veryfirst chauffeur to win it in back-to-back seasons because Ed Carpenter did so in 2013-14.
