A hit daytime BBC show is back for a new series, and Oxfordshire is next on its list of filming locations.
The Travelling Auctioneers is heading to Tetsworth, near Thame, for an auction at midday on Wednesday, August 20.
The show sees auctioneering experts join forces with masters of restoration to uncover treasures in family homes which are turned into winning lots at auction.
The sale will take place at The Swan saleroom and will feature a variety of unique items uncovered during filming for the show.
Items up for auction include a large collection of gold jewellery, Matchbox model vehicles including Dinky Toys, Star Wars comics, Morris Eight car parts, watches, and rare coins.
The show’s producers are looking for locals to come along on the day and take part.
Members of the show’s presenting team – which includes auctioneering experts Izzie Balmer, JB Broad, and Bee Harford, as well as restorers JJ Chalmers, Robin Johnson, Lauren Wood, and Saf Fakir – will be in attendance at the auction, alongside TV cameras filming for the show’s new series.
The show’s producers said: “The auction will give Oxfordshire locals a rare chance to own some of the finest memorabilia, antiques, and collectibles around, all in one place.
“Whether they’re looking to start their own collection or add to an existing one, this auction is the perfect opportunity to acquire something truly unique.”
