When interviewer Jeff Goodman challenged him about potentially stealing that title from Arizona’s legendary Lute Olson program, Kelsey stood firm. “I mean, coaching’s all about stealing things, stealing ideas, and with that, with all due respect to Coach Olsen, one of the greatest in the history of the game, in the modern basketball era, Louisville was point guard U,” he said.
Kelsey’s statements raised eyebrows. He noted that Brown committed in January after just six months of his tenure. “We signed Mikel in January after just being here six months before we had even proven ourselves, right?” Kelsey explained.
