Manjeera endeavours to play an active role in local events and trading spaces, including activity at Pontypridd Indoor Market and events such as the Big Cheese Festival.
The team is all about welcoming new and returning customers through the doors and often runs offers for weekday lunchers and early diners.
Guests consistently highlight the warm welcome, pacey service and bold, balanced flavours at Manjeera – and the restaurant currently boasts a five-star rating on TripAdvisor and Google, with hundreds of reviews across both platforms. Manjeera is also one of TripAdvisors highest-rated Indian restaurants in Rhondda Cynon Taff to date.*
The team were also extremely proud to have received the ‘Best Street Food’ gong at The Food Awards Wales 2025 (Oceanic Awards) at the start of October.
Behind the scenes

At the heart of Manjeera is chef Manish, whose career began at The Oberoi in New Delhi before stints at celebrated venues in London, including Dishoom, Chutney Mary, and Masala Zone.
He later held senior roles, including head chef at Moksh in Cardiff Bay and at the Celtic Manor Resort. The result is technique-forward cooking that stays true to the spontaneity and punch of street food.
Sourcing ingredients for the mouth-watering menu is shaped by proximity and seasonality wherever possible, with a focus on fresh Welsh produce.
The team at Manjeera also holds sustainability close to their hearts, aiming to keep food waste minimal and use biodegradable packaging for takeaway orders.
All of this means that diners can enjoy their food knowing that local produce has been used to craft these delicious dishes, and the packaging won’t lie in landfill for years to come.
